A graduate of Kennesaw State University with a degree in Sports Management, prior to moving to Naples, Jamie worked in marketing management for SFX Sports Group/Clear Channel Communications out of Atlanta, Georgia. In 2002, Jamie and his wife Heather moved to Naples, Florida to be closer to family and he began to teach at Royal Palm Academy and coach varsity basketball for Naples High School.

Jamie is actively involved in the community supporting various charitable organizations including the Naples Winter Wine Festival benefitting the Naples Children and Education Foundation, the American Heart Association, the Naples Botanical Garden, the Golisano Children's Museum, the Naples International Film Festival and the Shelter for Abused Women and Children.

Jamie was awarded recognition in Gulfshore Business's 40 Under 40 in 2009. Jamie and his family spend their summers in Linville Ridge, a Lutgert Companies residential golf course community near Blowing Rock, North Carolina. Because of his passion for the community, the golf course and his relationships with the club members the company hired him to serve as the Vice President of Membership.

In his spare time, Jamie enjoys sports, playing golf and tennis, movies and film.
